14 Day Challenge: Smart Social: Day 5

Now is the time to take on smart social. If you are an entrepreneur, coach, influencer and.or business, this is the time the world needs smart social. No matter where you are with social media now, you may learn to be smart. If I did it, so can you.

If you have no idea how to be smart with social media, I feel you. Before 2013, I barely went on social media. I worked in industries and roles that didn't include social media at the time. I found myself in strategy, operational and financial roles. Industries I served in did not yet share much on social media. I didn't let any of that stop me from learning smart social for both my personal and business brand.

I started sharing my story on Facebook in 2013-2014. I personally experienced how my wellness business at the time grew 25 times with my transformation from the inside out. It blew me away. I thought if I may experience these results with my own story on one platform, imagine the impact over numerous platforms with a community of creators.

I started with learning platforms and creating content. Step by step, I learned platforms, creation, automation with a community.

When you decide it is time to take on smart social, everything changes. In the 14 Day Challenge, Day 1, I shared how transformation is required to create a life and business you love. In the 14 Day Challenge, you will experience 12 themes to create a life and business you love from faith to wellness to money and travel.

Whether you create with our community on the blog, podcast, and/or in the 14 Day Challenge sneak peek to our monthly mastermind, Creation Club, you will experience transformation like never before. On Day 5 of the 14 Day Challenge, it's time to take on smart social.

Smart Social Intro

Whether you realize it or not, social media has power to inspire influence both for you personally, and for your brand.

Smart Social involves:

  • Creating content via photos, videos & tools

  • Aligning to platforms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest

  • Automating content via automation and planning tools

  • Integrating and collaborating with a community

I didn't get to where my social media is overnight, neither will you. It is a journey step by step. Smart social involves getting better with photos, videos and tools like Canva. It's learning what content is best on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and more. Creating content involves consistency, alignment and a community in may ways.

Choose to create, transform and inspire.

The world needs you and light more than ever.

Some examples for Smart Social include:

  • Posts via Canva for Instagram and Facebook

  • Automation via IFTTT, Later Media, and Hootsuite

  • Creating IG Live Summits (like our #CreatewithUs #IGLiveSummit

It is more important than ever to create online for you, your brand, and with online communities. For example, our Create with Us IG Live Summit is now booked until mid-June 2020 since April!

Steps to Smart Social

When I first started creating on social media, I started to see how creating content and value for community is important. I began with learning from mentors like Ingrid Romero, Garrain Jones, Disney and Jorge De La Concepcion, Brendon Burchard, and Chalene Johnson. I dove deeper in education in social media with photographers and videographers like Brett Seeley, Harry with LHGFX, Michael Neveaux, and Ashley Renne.

I continued to figure out content creation as a creator. I applied what I learned to my own phone, videography, and camera. I tweaked my own approach to sharing faith, wellness, entrepreneurship, money, business and travel. I aligned social media to the blog, podcast, courses, and community. I learn day by day how to be authentic, joyful, free, valuable and align to what we offer.

Consider how you want to show up as smart social.

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

What platforms are you on currently?

Which ones do you want to be on and grow?

How could you create themes and alignment?

What could you do to simplify content creation?

When could you batch content?

How could you automate content across platforms?

What could you create to include community and increase engagement more?

How could you align content across your platforms with ease?

These are some of the things I teach in the content like a boss series, social media guides on Amazon, and in our mastermind and live events.

Content Like a Boss

Whether you are just starting to create content, or you are seasoned, there is always more to learn. I love sharing tips on creating content like a boss. Everything from creating on your iPhone to graphics on Canva to filming over 180 days of content in < 1 week and less than 2 hours a day while traveling.

What is important to consider is both quality and value with every piece you create. From the start, make yourself proud. After all, in the beginning and at many points along the journey, it is you believing in you. It is you compelled by something within to share your story and value. I know without God, I would not be sharing many things I never imagined sharing years ago.

You and your story matter.

Content Like a Boss may include:

  • Outlining your themes

  • Setting a few hours aside to batch content

  • Repurposing content for social media, e-books and a course

  • Automating integrations across tools for social media

  • Creating collaborations with creators among multiple platforms

These are some ways to create social media like a boss and practice smart social. I constantly challenge myself to level up each and every time I create content. In Mexico, I filmed over 180 days worth of content for the blog, podcast and mastermind in less than a week. I figured out how to create content in between daily activities during less than two hours a day.

Another way I shifted to practice smart social includes integrating graphics on my social media with text and video via Canva on Instagram, as well as IGLIVES with creators globally repurposed on IGTV.

Themes for Smart Social and Brands

It's easy to see how social media may be overwhelming if you don't simplify it. In 2018, I decided to create themes for faith, wellness, marketing, money, business and travel. These translated to the same 12 themes you see in our 14 Day Challenge.

The 12 Themes from Jump Start Transformation to Crazy Confidence give me and us a never ending stable structure to create limitless content. Not only that, it creates a clear path for what the next theme is. For example, after this wellness series, I am focusing on money matters. After that, social media and influencer marketing. You get the point.

Consider what themes you could create for your social media, blog, podcast and brand. Name your themes and organize your social media and marketing around them. Everything becomes easier as you #createit

When I served in Corporate in >7 industries, I often created foundations, stability and growth. I love scaling with strategy, structure and systems. This is how we have been able to grow to >3000% ROI (return on investment) in influencer marketing alone. In addition, this is how I have been able to grow with teams in industries to results of over 6-8 figures in one year. I believe it is a God Given gift.

For years, I took these gifts for granted and/.or didn't give credit to God. I needed to learn (and continue to) humility, grace, and service exponentially. What about you? What gifts do you have that may help you in social media?

When I became an entrepreneur full-time in 2011, I started to peel back the layers and lies I believed about myself e.g. they are worthy and I am not. Step by step, I continue to integrate gifts and help others do the same.

Smart Social Tools

Let's not forget about smart social tools. Keep in mind, you may use Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube live for free not to mention uploading for free. On top of that, I love Later Media, Canva, IFTTT, Hootsuite, Splice App to name a few smart social tools I use and teach hands-on.

I’ve found technology and tools help you limitlessly. It is key to #createit and practice.

It isn't enough to read blogs or listen to podcasts. It is time to #createit - what you love.

Remember, even though you want to take on smart social, it will take time.

Smart Social

Whether you are starting off with social media, or a seasoned social media guru, it's time to take on smart social. Creating content like a boss may excite you. Perhaps, its time to set up themes for your social media and business.

You may be ready to implement new social media tools and automation on your way to smart social. It is time to #createit. Approach it one step at a time on your way to smart social with content strategy, creation, and tools.

If you missed the start of the 14 Day Challenge, let's jump start transformation.

Create. Transform. Inspire.

You Were Born to.
