How to Repurpose Content for Social Media and Your Business

You’ve perhaps got an idea of branding, content, and social media. You’ve perhaps started in some areas, or feel like you've got colors, themes, and consistency going.

You’re concerned about your strategy, your structure, your systems. You’re concerned about clarity with your branding, making the most of your content, and getting super consistent with social media and what you offer in your business.

You’re worried about picking the right photographers (or shooting yourself better), making creating content easier, and making the most of your time.

You’re afraid of not effectively communicating on social media and your website, but you are equally worried about cash flow, paying the bills, as well as the results they will (or won’t deliver)....

Yet you are more afraid of not getting your story, your experience, and your brand out there, so you hang on through the process.

You are still reading because… because deep down inside you know there has to be a better way to repurpose your content for social media and your business for long term results (elevate energy, reach your community, exponential exposure, share your message, and make more money long term).

What if…

What if you created content with clarity to truly connect, create and cultivate?

What if you were able to create the feeling you want people to feel?

What if you repurposed content and photography across all platforms?

What if you repurposed content and photography across your offerings?

What if you made momentum with them easily with pre to post event content?

What if you developed relationships with creators with collab options?

Imagine the return…Imagine the results…

It is possible to create it.

How do I know?

Because I took ALL the education and experience from industries and brands served, and we did just that.

How did we do it? I figured it was time to share it to serve others.

Here, you will learn how to set up the

foundation,

stability,

and growth

for content creation.

I’m going to say, right up front, this article will involve you to take time to get clear on your story and take action!

I will equip you how to do this step by step so you feel equipped and empowered.

This will save you a ton of time, heartache, and money!

This took myself and the team about five years to get to.

Background

I completely get it! Before 2014, I had no idea about creating and repurposing content for social media and business. The only social media posting I ever did was strictly personal and/or motivational! I maybe tuned in once every two weeks or so! I worked in industries and positions where I was not directly involved in social media. My roles ranged from strategy to finance to compliance!

However, when I started getting into fitness and a lifestyle business, I recognized the influence and power of story sharing and social media fast!

This took me back to college - when we did word of mouth advertisement in creating organizations and being leaders on campus. Although, Facebook didn't even exist when I was in college, I recognized that the concept of content creation, social media, influencer marketing all relates to connection, creation, cultivation - and the post powerful form of influence - word of mouth.

To give you insight into my own results - my first year in sharing my story on social media with my before and after photo showing how I lost >55 lbs., my business blew up 25X on one platform alone without any ads! I realized then how influential social media could be!

I was on one platform then, and even thinking about Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest (oh my!) overwhelmed me!

I think we can all agree — creating a life and business you love involves always learning new skills and tools. Social media is definitely one of them, and it continues to evolve.

Before 2014, the only platform I was on for business was LinkedIn. I thought of it as resume type builder and/or Business 2 Business platform. Then, when I had the experience with Facebook, I expanded my mind to learn the other platforms step by step.

I also recognized the impact and inspiration with influencers and started to learn from and create a community with them! The insight across Google Search Engines, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Podcasts I've learned has been crazy amazing!

I focused on How to Get Smart with Social. I translated this on How to Repurpose Content for Social Media and Business. I am big on creating clarity, saving time and money. Who isn't?

I've put together Three Steps on

FOUNDATION

STABILITY

GROWTH

In this blog post, I’m sharing three steps on How to Repurpose Content for Social Media and Your Business!

This may help you whether you work for someone else in a social media role, have a side hustle, are a long time blogger, lifestyle entrepreneur, or want to be one!

Plus, if you want to create a life and business you love - connect with more people -

don't you owe it to yourself and your community to to invest the time to learn?

According to Social Media today, the average person spends about two hours a day on social media. Even more interesting, is estimates are we will end up spending about five years of our lives on social media (something that didn't exist 20 years ago!)

STEP 1: FIRM FOUNDATION

The firmer your foundation, the easier it will be to create and repurpose content.

It is so easy to get caught up in complexity of content creation.

The simpler and easier we make it, the faster you get results.

Here are some questions to help you:

1) Are you clear on your messaging?

2) Do you know the people you want to reach?

3) What type of phone and camera do you have?

4) How clear are your images and pictures?

5) What types of photographers / bloggers do you love?

6) Which platforms are you on currently?

7) How often do you post consistently?

8) What platform is next for you?

9) What tools do you use to post?

10) How are you automating and saving time?

Photography

There are a number of approaches to take.

Let's start with the most cost effective!

The first thing I want you to focus on is take action.

Simply start, practice, repeat.

Look at your social media and your pictures and compare to others that you love. How clear are your images? Years ago, my images were super blurry. I took for granted the power of social media! I learned though from countless others and practice, practice, practice!

1) DIYer

A great way to start is have a great phone with a great camera! I recently upgraded to the brand new IPhone and I have a tripod so I can set the timer and do my own pictures a lot! I think about what I want to "show" with my picture, and the "feeling" I want others to have .

You are the talent and the photographer!

(Or ask someone to help you out!)

These are examples of shots I took with a tripod and/or asked my mom or dad to take that I was illustrating creating a life and business I love.

2) Invest

A great way to learn is to invest in a great photographer that will help you be a better DIYer too! My first two photoshoots were with Brett Seeley and Harry with LHGFX after my first fitness show (I cried when I saw my pictures because I was so humbled that this was actually me after losing over 50 lbs in a year and half)!

I learned so much during that shoot on lighting, angles, intent, and story! Not only did I get amazing images, but it set me up for a lifetime!

Upfront Investment

I did this photoshoot as a way to document my results in weight loss and share on social media. I then learned to include the photos on all platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn), as well as challenges, guides, and more!

3) Collaborate

A great way to learn is to collaborate with photographers (barter something you have of value for their photography!). I've had photographers like Morgan Hayes approach me for a photoshoot in exchange for blog posts, social media, and our 7 Day Challenge as an example of an collaboration!

Content

There are a number of approaches to take.

Let's start with the most cost effective!

The first thing I want you to focus on is take action.

Simply start, practice, repeat.

1) DIYer

A great way to start is use a content creation tool like Canva. Canva is an amazing free tool that has templates for every social media platform to help make content creation for any channel simple! Here are a few templates we have created for Social Media and beyond! These have included templates for Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, Webinars, and Courses!

3) Collaborate

A great way to learn is to collaborate with creators! I've learned a ton with our collaborations with influencers with our experiences!

STEP 2: STRONG STABILITY

The clearer you are on your strategy, structure, and systems

combined with a firm foundation, the more you will

increase stability and results.

I believe that the more you create clarity and consistency,

the simpler and easier the outcome, and the faster you get results.

I do this by creating themes and a schedule, and teaching others to do the same.

Yes, we are an all in one lifestyle brand (health, wealth, business all in one).

However, to increase clarity and consistency, I created 12 themes.

Our blog, podcast, and experiences all center around these 12 themes.

These themes start with Jump Start Transformation, Unleash Inspiration and go to Smart Social, Money Maker, and Inspire Influence to name a few! This also helps myself and the team know what is coming up easily and effortlessly.

This did not come overnight, but developed overtime the more being,

feeling, and doing all lined up.

These also help increase the know, like, and trust factor as people become familiar with what you share when you create them!

Here are some questions to help you:

1) What do you love to help people with?

2) What themes do you currently help people with?

3) How could you time your themes each week?

4) How could you time your themes each month?

5) What ways could you have the team do themes?

6) How could you automate the themes on social?

7) How could you translate the themes to experiences?

Create Themes

The faster you create themes, the more clear you and your team will be with content.

For example, our brand colors are also my favorite colors - pink, blue, and green.

They also tie to passion, purpose, people and profits. You may also see these colors consistently across our websites, blog posts, social media and courses. As a result, content creation is simpler not only when I create, but when I also had off to a team member to scale smart!

This also ties to our 12 Themes for Blogs, Podcasts, Guides, Courses, Challenges, Retreats and Academies.

For example, you will note all photoshoots are centered around lifestyle, health, wealth, business, and travel. You will also note that our fonts, blogs, freebies all also have consistent simple graphics that then tie out to our consistent theme.

The more consistency you create, the more your community will recognize it, and the more know, like, and trust factor increases.

STEP 3: GIGANTIC GROWTH

The more your foundation is firm combined with strong stability in your actions and community, the more you will experience gigantic growth easily and effortlessly.

Everything will flow like a river.

I have experienced this over and over in >7 industries lining up foundations, stability and growth to. the tune of 7-9 figures consistently annually. I had to learn to shift to be able to direct foundation, stability and growth fully towards creating a life and business I loved and teaching others to do the same.

For years, even though I made others massive results I would hold myself back out of feat and worthiness and experienced chaos. I also had to learn how to set up a firm foundation and strong stability.

These also help you flow from social media to creating content with podcasts, guides, programs, retreats and academies with time!

We also do hands on activities both in our online experiences and in live events!

Here are some questions to help you:

1) How would you love to grow your experiences?

2) What ways would you love to increase time freedom?

3) What freebies would you love to create?

4) What types of guides would you love to create?

5) How could you share knowledge in courses?

6) What live experiences could you share?

7) What ways could you serve your community?

In a Day

The more you simplify what you want to create, the more your confidence will grow in yourself, and the faster you will see results.

I used to massively complicate things years ago. I've learned to simplify simplify simplify.

To help you in this area, I've also included our Smart Social Guide and our sneak peak into Our In a Day Series with Our Social Media in a Day!

Simply, decide to go through the three steps. Set a day this week or next to simply do it. Whether it is you, your team, or both! You will learn so much by going through it!

Create. Transform. Inspire. You Were Born to.
