Before diving into the comparisons, let me just say—the gym experience in Bali is like nothing I’ve ever encountered anywhere else in the world. From open-air workout spaces to breathtaking views of rice fields and luxury recovery areas, working out here feels like an elevated lifestyle choice, not just a fitness routine.
The blend of fitness, wellness, and social experiences sets Bali gyms apart from any traditional gym I’ve been to in the U.S. or beyond.
One of my friends who introduced me to Nirvana Life even said, “ALL the beautiful people in Bali come here.” She wasn’t wrong!
The gym attracts an incredible crowd of fitness lovers, entrepreneurs, and digital nomads who make working out feel like a social event.

Classes & Memberships
One of the biggest perks of both gyms is their immersive experiences in wellness, creating, and community.
Nirvana Life: A Day Pass starts at $33. Memberships start at $127/month for recovery only vs. $165/month including gym access, spa, and $190/month including unlimited classes. You may opt for class passes starting at $10 per class, with bundles available for 1 to 20 classes. If you only want recovery access (spa, sauna, ice baths), memberships start at $127/month (taxes not included on any of these prices. Discounts on special events are available for members, like the Rise and Shine Sober Party and the Full Moon Sound Bath that I attended. *Prices are in March 2025 and subject to change.
Titi Batu: A day pass is $20, and monthly memberships start at $90, with discounts available for 3-month or 1-year upfront payments. Titi Batu also includes free community classes for members, like the boxing class I took. *Prices are in March 2025 and subject to change.
Cost Comparison: Bali vs. USA
Nirvana Life and Titi Batu offer an experience for money. Last time, I was. in Bali, I joined only a monthly gym. The experience is completely different.
Here’s a quick comparison:
Gym | Bali Pricing (Monthly) | USA Equivalent (Monthly) |
Nirvana Life | $165 (gym, spa, cowork) | $300+ (for luxury gyms like Lifetime Fitness with spa & classes) |
Titi Batu | $90 | $150+ (for similar facilities) |
In the U.S., a gym with this level of spa, recovery, and class inclusions could easily cost $300 or more per month. Even standard boutique fitness studios charge $150+ just for unlimited classes, making Bali a comparable paradise at a fraction of the cost. Compare this to 24 Hour Fitness or LA Fitness, where basic memberships range from $50-$100/month with minimal amenities.
My Experience: One Month at Each Gym
I joined Nirvana Life for one month in February 2025 and Titi Batu for one month in March 2025, attending workouts and classes over 80% of the time.
Here’s my key takeaway:
Nirvana Life felt more like a fitness retreat—luxurious, scenic, and motivating. The spa & recovery area was a huge bonus, and the outdoor gym was amazing for leg day workouts!
Titi Batu had a stronger community feel—great for socializing, meeting like-minded people, and enjoying a more casual fitness experience.
Nirvana Life also offers discounts for members on special events, like the Rise and Shine Sober Party and the Full Moon Sound Bath that I attended. It adds another layer to the wellness lifestyle.
Both Gyms the teams are very personable. Within days, they all knew my name and I knew theirs. I wrote both gyms 5 star reviews on Google.
One downside for me at Titi Batu was the smoking policy—while the gym itself is smoke-free, the entire upstairs area (except the indoor coworking lounge) allows smoking. As a non-smoker and wellness advocate, this was a major turnoff. If you come early like I often did, you can sit on the veranda smoke-free, but later in the day, smokers take over much of the upstairs seating.
When I come back to Bali, I will definitely join again (or collaborate)
Final Thoughts: Which Gym Should You Choose?
Go with Nirvana Life if you want a high-end wellness experience with top-tier recovery, a stunning location, and a mix of fitness and relaxation.
Go with Titi Batu if you prefer a budget-friendly, social gym with great classes, a strong community, and a more compact space.
