One Week: Creating a Life & Business I Love: Guatemala City & Tulum, Mexico

Updated: May 19, 2021

Join me on One Week: Creating a Life and Business I love being in Guatemala City, Guatemala and Tulum Mexico. My last 17 weeks have passed quickly. To give you insight, I am sharing the week of May 3-9th, 2021.

I started this week leaving Lake Atitlan, Guatemala and going to Guatemala City for a few days. Between moving from Lake Atitlan to Guatemala, daily weight lifting workouts, blogs and shows, presentations for OnRamp Accelerator Insurance program, exploring Guatemala City, and traveling to Tulum, Mexico, I was wiped out by the time Friday came around.

This #LimitlessGlobalGirl will not be traveling twice in less than five days any time soon unless there is an emergency of some sort. While transitioning from Lake Atitlan to Guatemala City, a well as to Tulum, Mexico during this week, I created and scaled a life, business and community I love, as well as transitioned to Guatemala City and Tulum, Mexico. Some of my adventures included exploring central Guatemala and Cayala.

I continued to create, transform and inspire during my travel to 7 Continents adventures.

My Routines: Morning, Daily and Weekly

No matter where you are in the world, how you start your day is powerful in every way.

My Sacred 7 Morning and Night Routines with I Am's, Prayer, Positive Music, Bible Reading, Message, Journaling, and Movement sets me up for success.

My daily routine includes shake, tea and tabs with Herbalife Global Nutrition for 7+ years and counting. I lost over 55+ lbs and chose to be alcohol free 5+ years ago. I compete in fitness shows in National Physique Committee Bikini.

'Disclaimer: Average person loses .5 to 1 lb. a week with healthy active lifestyle.

Every week, I outline my week and days, and continue to align actions to my vision. Every week, things shift depending on faith, feeling and focus.

I outline my Create 7 to help me align actions. Create 7 includes launches, community, scale, clear, media, series, and projects. I practice self-accountability with tools and teams like Click-Up, Focus Matrix, and virtual assistant services. I am in mentorship and coaching currently with Herbalife Nutrition, Super Focus with Tommy Newberry, and Legacy League with Mike Michalowicz.

All along the way, I envision and assess results in community, creators, and creatives.

Walking into the week, I envisioned:

1 Series with Blog, Show and Channels

2 Community Creation & Focus

3 Reviewing and Submitting Proposals & Pitches

4 Creator Focus on Videos & Reels

5 Clearing Emails, Team & Media Items

6 Mastermind & Summit Updates & Shares

7 Assessing Daily & Weekly Results

Super Focus

I am creating a life, business and community I love. I am receiving $3,000 - $25,000 daily-weekly-monthly easily for wellness, media, online & travel God willing with incredible community consistently in May. I am DAP, Supervisor and World Team with Herbalife in May.

This is my focus until I hit it not only once but consistent 3+ months. I will adjust after the third month of consistency to align to annual and legacy goals.

Top Three Priorities

1 Community: Sources and Scaling

2 Creators: Courses, Management

3 Creatives: Media, Series, and Books

I focus consistently on creating and scaling a life & business I love & helping others. This is done by integrating faith, wellness, marketing, business and travel.

Not only that, every online course & live experience includes tips, tools & technology for health, wealth, and business hands-on.

Creating and Scaling in Guatemala City, Guatemala and Tulum, Mexico:

Week 18

The outline below will help you see how I created and scaled this week, as well as how it aligned to my passion, purpose, potential, people & profits.

CREATE 7

This includes areas with launches, community, media, series, projects, scaling, and clearing.

Depending on priorities and the day, I may focus on 1, 3 and/or all 7 areas in a day.

1 Launches

1 Brand Engagements & Consulting: Platforms & Pitches with Wellness, Online, Business and Travel

2 Influencer Management Collaboration Follow-Ups

3 CREATEIT Club launch & shares.

4 Costa Rica Retreat Platform Listings

2 Community

1 Completed Presentation with Gener8tor OnRamp & Ameritas National Insurance

2 Cleared & Delegated 200+ emails this week

3 Created 5+ Reels on Wellness, Marketing, Business & Travel

4 Updated Click-Up Project Management Sprints & Items

3 Media

1 Top 10 Lake Atitlan Things to Do

2 One Week Creating a Life & Business I Love

3 How to Create Content Like a Boss: Guatemala Edition

4 Guatemala Travel Costs & Living Expenses

I recorded 3+ shows as well this week on CREATE with Katrina Julia

4 Clear

I cleared 90% from both my Cameras this week. I cleared over 75% of my phone. At the end of the week, I had my phone to <40 pictures and videos.

5 Series

I adjusted my focus to wrap up content from the city and country I am in while I am there. I completed all my blogs for Guatemala while in the country. I had about 3+ shows left for after leaving Guatemala, and a weeks worth of Instagram Reels and posts.

As a result, I am shifting further to make sure I align content and wrap up while I am in Tulum and in Mexico and/or have maybe 1-5 days left of content to share.

6 Scaling

Over 75% of the business is automated via tools like Kajabi and Efficise. In Automate and Scale Your Business Like a Boss, I share automation and delegation tips, tools and tech!

I teach this hands-on in our online courses and retreats too. If you are curious, definitely check out freebies and our retreats!

7 Projects

a I am automating and delegating Business Development and Outreach for

Transformation Management with Fortune 500 Companies and Platforms.

d Costa Rica: Transform & Travel Retreats series on blog and show, and promotions with hosts of Dragon Fly Hideaway.

I increased time allocations for above between myself, automation and delegation at

a Transformation Management 60%

b Influencer Management 10% (Quarterly: May - June)

c Online Launch 20% (Monthly)

d Costa Rica Retreat 10% (Quarterly)

I realized by achieving the Super Focus Goal with Transformation Management it would be easier with one project. In addition, it would provide ongoing revenue and cash for the business and personal expenses, I emphasized focus on Transformation Management with a daily-weekly focus of minimum 7 aligned proposals, 3 meetings, and 1 close weekly.

I recognized with passion, purpose, and priorities combined with travels, adventures, and movements, I needed and wanted to shift my time. I decided to commit to staying in Tulum in Mexico longer. I increased my time to focus in between adventures as well.

All of these integrate the 75+ Tools and Resources to Create a Life & Business You Love!

Week Schedule At a Glance

Monday

I finished packing to get ready to leave Lake Atitlan. My Airbnb host at the San Pedro La Laguna Digital Nomad Chalet helped me take the luggage again down the stairs. I took a Tuk Tuk to get a lancha/boat to go across the lake to Panajachel to meet my Uber Driver.

I ate at Panajachel before leaving. We drove about 3 hours on windy roads to get to Guatemala City. I ended up needing to stop to get some Alka-Seltzer as my stomach felt nauseous. Thank God I didn't get sick.

When I arrived at my Guatemala City Airbnb with Rodrigo and Claudia, we were all fast friends. I loved talking to them and getting to know them and their beautiful family! Their breakfasts are to die for included in the Airbnb stay! They have an at home Gym I used every day I stayed with them.

I unpacked the few things I needed for a few days, prepped for my presentation for the Accelerator the next day with Ameritas Insurance, grabbed breakfast and oatmeal from a local Guatemalan chain restaurant named Patsy's, and passed out around 8pm.

Tuesday

Community

Series

I woke up at 5:30 am and completed my Sacred 7 morning. At 7 am Guatemala time, I had a kickoff meeting with Gener8tor an Accelerator Investor program that FIT Life Creation made it to finals. We were selected to meet with Ameritas National Insurance to pitch our wellness, online, business and travel all in one lifestyle brand for possibilities in partnering and investing in preventative care, influencer marketing, and travel.

I completed my Top 10 Lake Atitlan Things to Do.

In the afternoon, I worked out and rested at the house.

Wednesday

Community

Series

Clear

I completed by Weekly Creating a Life and Business I Love Series, submitted a proposal to TrialFacts for ongoing digital marketing consulting, transferred photos, and started my laundry.

In the afternoon, I went to explore Guatemala City Center, and a nearby beautiful area called Cayala. In the evening, I checked in for my flight to Cancun for the next day with Volaris #notsponsored, got my travel insurance for the year with Safety Wings, and finished packing.

Thursday

Series

Clear

I woke up around 6 am completing my Sacred 7 morning. Afterwards, I finished Content Like a Boss, Guatemala Travel Costs & Expenses, and cleared emails.

I completed my Mexico Health Pass for travel (As of May 2021, must be done within 12 hours of travel *subject to change). My Airbnb Host, Claudia drove me to the airport. They include this service too with their stays! I am definitely staying with them when I return to Guatemala City for a minimum of a week to slow travel.

My flight left for Cancun (closest airport to Tulum, Mexico) on time around 2pm. We arrived about 30 minutes early. I was randomly selected for an additional search of my luggage. Then, I discovered that Uber is not permitted at the airport currently in Cancun. Nothing that I read on any blog, Uber or online shared that. Last time, I visited Mexico in 2019 with Our Adventures Airbnb Adventure there were no problems with Uber at the Airport.

Travel always teaches us, like life, we are never in control. I calmly began to problem solve. I asked a taxi for the price - it was triple the rate of Uber. I debated on taking a Taxi to town to then catch an Uber. I quickly discovered I could take a Playa Carmen Shuttle for $25, and then a Playa Express Collectivo for 50 Pesos / About $2 for the rest of the drive to Tulum.

Needless to say, at this point with two travel days in a week, traveling 9 hours to get to my Airbnb in Tulum, Mexico, and being on the verge of my womanly time, I felt pooped. The caretaker of the Airbnb, Eva offered without asking that she and her husband would pick me up at Tulum Center so that I wouldn't have any other potential travel challenges. I arrived two hours later than I originally thought.

I am so grateful!

Friday

Clear

I woke up Friday feeling grateful for arrival and adventures. I loved seeing my Mayan Jungle Cabin in the day time. I finished unpacking.

I still felt drained. I felt almost as if I couldn't move. I evaluated my week and realized I needed rest.

I found Chedraui groceries with amazing options, online ordering, and either pickup or delivery.

With the Mayan Jungle Homes being a bit hidden, I asked Eva if she would mind picking up my groceries. I immediately offered I would pay the same delivery fee! She said yes!

I happily rested more on Friday unpacking, cooking, and getting settled.

I cleared and checked emails.

Saturday

Rest

I originally thought I would visit Cenotes Cristal and Escondido walking distance nearby Saturday. I still felt exhausted, and didn't think exposure to sunshine and two long walks would help. I stayed at my Mayan Jungle Cabana.

Sunday

After my morning routine, I connected with family and listened to church. I stayed in Sunday assessing my week and outlining my week coming up.

There you have it.

My week at a glance, and the behind the scenes with Guatemala City, Guatemala and transitioning to Tulum, Mexico.
